Alia Shawkat (born April 18 1989) is one of the wealthiest and most popular TV Actresses. Alia Shawkat grew up in Riverside California. She played Maeby as Maeby in the Fox series Arrested Development, a part which earned her the TV Land Future Classic Award. She was also in Whip It along with Ellen Page. Between 2001 and 2004, Shawkat played Hannah in State of Grace. Shawkat, who played Maeby Funke Shawkat, was an actor in Arrested Development throughout the run of the series from 2003-2018. Shawkat was praised for her performances on occasions. The show was received every time a positive response. Brian M. Palmer, a pop-culture critic and commentator noted that Shawkat was among the brightest stars on an entire series that is populated by bright stars. Scott Weinberg from eFilmCritic called her 'one funny young lady. In an interview with The A.V. Club in the year 2010 Shawkat remarked that many of her formative scenes as an actor were in the Arrested Development set. Mitch Hurwitz was like a father figure to me. It was enjoyable having Mitch Hurwitz on set since my knowledge of comedy grew during this time. Shawkat performed alongside Eva Mendes and Eric Wareheim in Har Mar's Tall Boy video, which was a music clip by Whip It star Har mar Superstar. Shawkat Har Mar teamed up with Whip-It's Co-Star Ellen Page to produce and write Stitch N Bitch for HBO during October of 2009. The Hollywood Reporter says that the show follows two hipster girls from Brooklyn who move to Silver Lake, Los Angeles in pursuit of their dream of becoming professional creative.
