Dua Lipa Dua Lipa, an English artist and singer was born in London on the 22nd of August 1995. The self-titled debut album was released in 2017 after she had joined Warner Bros Records. The album was ranked at number 3 in the U.K. Charts, and also released eight singles. They included Be The One I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. No. 1 Single New Rules as well as the U.K. Number. #1 Single New Rules. Dua Lipa was born on 22nd August 1995 in London in the UK to Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. Her maternal grandmother is Bosnian. Her ancestors can also be identified back to Peja, the Kosovo city of Peja. The grandparents of Lipa's grandfathers were both history professors. They have a brother Gjin Lipa, and a younger sister Rina. Lipa was musically influenced by her father who is also the lead musician and vocalist for the Kosovan the group Oda. At home her father continued playing music which included his original compositions as well as songs from David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Sting The Police and Stereophonics. Lipa was just five years old when she first began to sing. When she was nine years old, Lipa started to sing in the Sylvia Young Theater School.
